Prayer to The Holy Spirit for Miracles

In this post you’ll learn a miracle prayer to the Holy Spirit. It is often called the Come Holy Spirit prayer.

When I first read this prayer something magical happened. I was immediately overwhelmed with God’s love and received the light of the Holy Spirit.

My hope is that sharing this prayer will bring you closer to God as well.

Come Holy Spirit Prayer

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love. Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth. Let us pray. O God, Who didst instruct the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant us in the same Spirit to be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Why Pray to Receive the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is part of the Holy Trinity which includes:

1. God the Father,
2. God the Son, and
3. God the Holy Spirit

This concept of the Holy Trinity confuses many people and there is much debate as to what the Holy Spirit represents in the Bible.

My goal is to help you receive the Holy Spirit through prayer and not overwhelm you with Biblical history. So, I’m going to simplify this as best I can.

From my studies I believe the Holy Spirit represents God’s wisdom. In John 15:26 (NIV) Jesus says “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father…”

In this case, I believe the Advocate is the Holy Spirit which is sent from the Father and is a “Spirit of truth” or wisdom.

So, when you pray to receive an outpouring of the Holy Spirit you are asking God to fill you with the “light” or wisdom of the Spirit.

I don’t think there is a more powerful prayer than one that asks God to share His wisdom with us.
